MPP's Annual Party at the Playboy Mansion Continues Its Trend of Success!
On June 4, 2009, MPP hosted our 4th annual party at the Playboy Mansion, which proved to be our most exciting to date! Almost 700 supporters and celebrities, including our host Fairuza Balk and headliners The Dandy Warhols, came out to help MPP celebrate our 2008 Election Day wins. The party featured a surprise musical performance by the Kyle Gass Project (featuring Kyle Gass of Tenacious D) and DJ action by HunnyPot with a special guest set by David J. of Bauhaus and Love & Rockets. VIP's in attendance included Huge Hefner and his Playmates, Ron Jeremy, MPP VIP Advisory Board members Rob Van Dam, Hal Sparks, and Adrianne Curry, among others. MPP's 2008 Summer Events
MPP had two major events this summer: our annual party at the Playboy Mansion on June 12 and our New York gala on May 14. Both events were huge successes, with over 850 people coming out to show their support. Over 600 supporters came to the Playboy Mansion alone, along with musical guest Perry Farrell from Jane's Addiction and host Adrianne Curry, reality TV superstar and fashion model. Approximately 250 people came to MPP's event at the Highline Ballroom in New York to see Nicole Atkins & The Sea perform and to hear speeches from VIP's such as Montell Williams and Kurt Loder. Willie Nelson Benefit Concert Sells Out
On August 10, 2007, legendary singer Willie Nelson performed at a
benefit concert to support marijuana policy reform. The sold-out
concert also featured Ray Benson (lead singer of the grammy-winning
band Asleep at the Wheel), Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling, former NFL
star Mark Stepnoski, and country singers Carolyn Wonderland and Paula
Nelson.
